Dr. Mingzhen Wei is an Associate Professor in Petroleum Engineering at the Department of GGPE in the Missouri University of Science and Technology (formerly University of Missouri-Rolla). Dr. Wei received her Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology, majoring in data management and data mining; and she received her master and bachelor degrees in Petroleum Engineering and Reservoir Engineering respectively from China University of Petroleum, China. Her research interests include data mining and data quality enhancement, application development to support digital oilfield initiations, and reservoir engineering and reservoir simulation study for unconventional oil and gas development. Her teaching interests include reservoir simulation, natural gas engineering, and advanced applied reservoir engineering.
