Biography

Dr. Schneider received her BA with distinction in English Language and Literature from the University of Virginia in 2005, her MA in English from The University of Texas at Austin in 2008, and her Ph.D. in English from The University of Texas at Austin in 2014.

Her dissertation, "Some Versions of the Fragment, 1700-1800," analyzes the relationship between the literary fragment as a genre and the broader developments of eighteenth-century print culture. Dr. Schneider has received library fellowships from the William Andrews Clark Memorial Library, the Houghton Library, and the Bodleian Library.

As a graduate student at The University of Texas at Austin, Dr. Schneider worked in the Digital Writing and Research Lab and served as editor of the DWRL's visual rhetoric blog viz for the 2012-2013 academic year.

Dr. Schneider has taught classes on rhetoric and writing, the rhetoric of the musical, women's popular genres, banned books, literature and sports, and surveys in British Literature and World Literature. At S&T, Dr. Schneider teaches classes on writing and research, comics and graphic novels, and British Literature.
