Dr. Joseph Graham is an associate professor of Nuclear Engineering and the facility director of the campus nuclear reactor, MSTR. He received Ph.D. and M.S. degrees in Nuclear Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin and a B.S. in Physics from McGill University in Montreal, Canada. He holds a joint appointment in the Department of Nuclear Engineering and Radiation Science and the Department of Material Science & Engineering at Missouri S&T.
Dr. Graham is an expert in radiation effects in ceramics. He and his research group have conducted extensive experimental and computational research on materials in extreme radiation environments, fundamental interactions of energetic particles in solids, and have development advanced characterization tools to study the properties and performance of nuclear fuels and advanced materials.
